Please come out and donate blood this January and support our little Cancer Fighting Cutie-Carson and his fight against Leukemia!! This is such a GREAT way to start out the New Year! Without Blood and Platelet donations Carson and all of his Cute Cancer buddies would not survive. It is SO important that we have a steady supply of both Blood and Platelets for all of them. So please when you can.... Donate! It is so important!

Donation facts: Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.With one blood donation you could save the lives of up to three people!! The demand for blood transfusions is growing faster than donations.Only 38% of he U.S. population is eligible to give blood and of that 38% less then 10% actually donate!! Yikes!!

So Why Donate Blood?

You don’t need a special reason to give blood.
You just need your own reason.

• Some of us give blood because we were asked by a friend.
• Some know that a family member or a friend might need blood some day.
• Some believe it is the right thing to do.

Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. And you’ll feel good knowing you've helped change a life.

Many lifesaving medical treatments require blood transfusions. What and how many blood products are given to a patient will depend on his or her individual needs. Some of the patients who typically require blood transfusions are:

• Cancer patients
• Leukemia patients
• Burn patients
• Those receiving organ or bone marrow transplants
• Premature babies
• Victims of traumatic injuries and accidents
• Patients undergoing certain surgeries
