On Monday July 13th 2009, at age two, Carson was diagnosed with Pre-B cell, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). ALL is treatable and has a high survival rate in young children, but he will require 3 years and four months of treatment-chemotherapy. Carson will be done with treatment in November 2012.

i saw this on the curesearch website - it is SO great! i always like jeff gordon anyways, but now i like him even more. :) i also saw him on the LLS website as well. looks like he is working hard to help fight cancer - wonder if he has a personal connection with cancer that is inspiring the support or what? i would be interested to know.
