Spring "Break" !!!

The kids had one week off from school for Spring Break so we decided it was a great time to take a much needed Vacation. The kids and I took off early without Hyrum and First headed down to St. George. We spent a few nights at the new Vac/house and just took in some of that sunny and warm St. George! We went swimming, went for long walks, and really just relaxed and enjoyed the incredible weather! >>>From St. George we drove into California to visit Uncle Mike. He lives near LA in Redondo Beach. Hyrum flew in and met as at the hotel the first night. It was so fun to spend time with Mike, he showed us all around his new beautiful city, (which I have to say I am very jealous of where he lives!) We ate at a few restaurants right on the pier, (a fun little burger joint, and also had fresh Clam Chowder at another local Fish Restaurant). Mike also took us to a very fun and yummy French restaurant where we all enjoyed Crepes! We spent hours on the Beach, we went sight seeing in Beverly Hills, and some how even had time for a few really fun rides at Six Flags! Sydney, Hannah and Carson had never seen the Ocean, so this was a special trip and a big deal for them! Here are some Pics from the trip!

......On a side note- Right before we left to go on Vacation we learned that Carson's Counts were low ANC-600. So the Docs put all chemo on hold for two weeks, and Carson got to enjoy his trip a little more with a week free from chemo!! : )

......two days after getting home we learned that his ANC had gone down even a little more into Neutropenia land at 400. So again another week off from Chemo! The breaks are nice, but it also means that he is at high risk, so it's not exactly a celebration. : (
