The 2012 Salt Lake City Curesearch walk is set for September 29! We are so excited the walk was moved to September this year which is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month! We can't wait to get out and raise money and show support for some of the most AMAZING kids in our community! These kids can not fight this disease alone!!
CureSearch: At CureSearch for Children's Cancer, we believe that only research cures cancer. That is why we support promising clinical trials, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, taking place at hospitals across the nation that care for children with cancer.
CureSearch for Children's Cancer raises funds through individuals, special events, corporations, and private foundations. Charitable giving is especially important now, as federal funding for children’s cancer research has been flat for the last decade, and was reduced by five percent in 2011.
In the last 40 years, the overall survival rate for children’s cancer has increased from 10% to 78%. At CureSearch, the goal is 100%.
