Just want to let everyone know that Hyrum, Sydney, Hannah and I have set up Team Carson for the Light the Night event happening on October 2nd in Salt Lake City, UT (sugarhouse park). Even though we are still a little new to all of this we are very excited to be a part of this event, and we hope that we can get a few more people to help support Carson as well as others effected by blood cancers. As some of you may know two weeks after sweet little Carson was diagnosed with Leukemia my 22 year old Cousin Steven Evans was also diagnosed with Leukemia. Both Boys are doing well at this time. But both have a long way to go. Both boys are just way too young to have to be dealing with this. But one thing we know for sure is that we are so blessed that it is the year 2009. That we have come so far in both cancer research, as well as clinical studies. That these both help to give our family's the best possible treatment plans and help result in the highest survival rates.
Light The Night is a nationwide evening walk that raises funds for cutting-edge cancer research and innovative programs for patients and families who suffer from blood cancers.
The Walk is a special night, celebrating and commemorating lives touched by cancer. Walkers carry illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold for those who have lost a loved one to blood cancer. Light The Night is a magical event that someday will ensure that blood cancers are eliminated.
