Just want to update everyone on Carson. After two weeks of low counts, Carson finally made his counts on November 17th, so he was able to proceed to the next phase of treatment- Interim Maintenance. This treatment phase is 56 days and will end on January 12th. He will receive five rounds of chemo (so every ten days), he is getting two kinds of chemo- Vincristine IV & Methotrexate IV. One of the hardest side affects Carson will have (besides low counts) from the Chemo this month is mouth sores!! OUCH!! My poor boy.
Good counts = friends to play with. So Carson has been so lucky to get to play with his cousins a couple of times in the last few weeks and he has just loved every minute of it!! He was also able to go to Grandma & Grandpa's house for Thanksgiving, and he was soooooo excited to be there, he played for hours and did not EVER want to leave!! He misses everyone SO much!
Well with two rounds out of the way Carson has been feeling pretty good, he is however starting to go down hill, he has caught a cold and today he has been complaining a little bit more then normal, he had a fever on Sunday which sent us to the ER. Luckily it was nothing serious and we were back home within a few hours. This was the second fever in two weeks= so the 2nd trip to the ER in two weeks. Ugh.... Not fun.
